Advance reserved and general admission tickets are now available for the August 14 & 15 NASCAR Weekend featuring the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in the NASCAR 300 on August 15. This is the only Canadian NASCAR race east of Quebec and affirms the long-time relationship Riverside International Speedway has had with the world’s top sanctioning body in stock car racing.
Antigonish’s own Donald Chisholm is the defending champion of the NASCAR 300; other past winners of the event in its eight year history include Jason Hathaway, DJ Kennington, Scott Steckly, Andrew Ranger, Don Thomson Jr., and Mark Dilley.
Joining the NASCAR Canadian Tires Series on August 15 will be the Atlantic Tiltload League of Legends.
The weekend starts off Friday August 14 with the Highland Home Building Centres 100 for the Napa Sportsman Series along with a another yet-to-be-named division.
Tickets are available for either Friday or Saturday or for both days in a discounted weekend pass.
Advance tickets are available until Thursday August 13 at 4 p.m. Reserved seats are only available in advance. The track box office will be open Friday August 14 and Saturday August 15 (general admission tickets only).
Riverside’s history hosting NASCAR races dates as far back as the 70s and is the longest standing such relationship with NASCAR in Canada.
