Tickets will be available at 4 p.m. today for the Summer Sizzler event to be held at Riverside International Speedway on August 21. Click here to purchase.
The show will feature the Wilson Equipment Twin 75s for the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour along with the Henry’s AUTOPRO 75 for the NAPA Sportsman series. Both races are qualifiers for September’s IWK 250 weekend. The winner of each division’s feature race on August 21 plus one other determined by random draw will be guaranteed coveted starting spots in their races on the 250 weekend.
Besides the features on August 21, both divisions have heat races to determine starting orders for their features. The Wilson Equipment Twin 75s will see the field paused at 1/2-way when a spin of a wheel will decide how many, if any, of the top 10 runners will be inverted to start lap 75. Championship points and race results will be based on the order the cars cross the finish line at lap 150.
Racing starts at 4 p.m. on August 21; the grandstand gates will open at 2 p.m.
In accordance with current Public Health protocols for COVID-19 the grandstand area will have multiple zones each with a maximum capacity of 250 people; each zone will have its own entry/exit and washrooms and fans must stay in the zone they are ticketed for. Masks are required except for when seated with a personal group (up to 50 without masks or distancing). Distancing (2M/6F) is required between groups and while entering/exiting the facility.
The canteen will be open for food and non-alcoholic beverages, with service in each zone. Maximum cooler/bag size for carry-in food and non-alcoholic beverages is 14″ x14″ x 14″; no glass beverage containers; containers caps must be sealed at entry; if container has a removable lid the container must be empty at entry.
Tickets are available online only starting at 4 p.m. today (August 13) at www.riversidespeedway.ca. Fans should review the zone plan prior to purchasing tickets and be aware that accessible seating is located in the Blue zone ONLY, and that smoking is ONLY permitted in the Purple zone.
Adult tickets are $30.00; 15 & under are $10.00 each (HST included).
In accordance with the zone model for this event, the infield pit area is restricted to essential crew members and essential workers only. Teams will receive advance pit pass purchase information directly.
Camping is available in the Family 1 area for this event, unreserved and unserviced. Fans are reminded that OHV Permits are required for use at any time on Riverside property – more info and permit application here.
Management thanks fans, racers, sponsors, staff, and service providers for their continued support as we wind through what are (hopefully) the final laps of the COVID-19 pandemic, and encourage everyone to be vaccinated at their earliest convenience so things get back on track (pun intended) sooner than later.
