This week we’re honoring Riverside legend Junior Hanley. From the small south shore town of Port Mouton, Nova Scotia, Junior Hanley went on to become one of the most respected and successful short track racers/car builders from Canada. Hanley raced at Riverside in the early days of his career with No. 10 ‘the Hound’ and returned numerous times in the 70s, 80s, and 90s after his move to Ontario with his more familiar No. 72. The biggest payday of his prolific career came at Riverside, his self-proclaimed all-time favorite track, in 1991 when he won the $50,000 Bud Triple Crown bonus in an ACT race.

Junior Hanley – we salute you!
