The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is heading to the high banks of Riverside International Speedway this Saturday for the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150. This will be the first event of the season for the track located just outside of Antigonish in James River, NS and round two of 12 for the popular stock car racing series. Grandstand gates for the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150 open at 3:00PM; Atlantic Tiltload Heat Race Qualifying gets underway at 6:00 PM.
Cassius Clark (Farmington, ME) heads into Riverside International Speedway with an early lead in the point standings after winning the series season opener on May 22. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) is less than 10 points behind in second, followed by Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) in third. Also getting their seasons off to a great start were Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) and Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS), who sit fourth and fifth respectively. Defending series champion Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) enters his home track sixth in points but will be looking to make up ground and is always a threat to win at the high-banked oval.
For the fifth consecutive year, Riverside International Speedway is partnering with MADD Canada and the local RCMP to help promote student awareness at this event. Both MADD and the RCMP will be in the midway at Riverside with demonstrations showing students the importance of making smart decisions at this pivotal time in their life. Free student admission tickets (for those aged 8 to 18) have been distributed to local schools and are also available at the Snow Queen Leisure Park (Lower South River) to students who buy a ride ticket.
Opening the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150 is the NAPA Sportsman Series in the Highland Home Building Centres 50.
Advance reserved and general admission tickets are available with order information and pricing on our event page. General admission tickets (no reserved) will be available at the track on race day. There is plenty of free vehicle and RV (not serviced and unreserved) parking for this event.
