Management at Riverside International Speedway and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour have postponed the event which was scheduled for today to next Saturday, September 14.
Event organizers have considered many factors in making this decision. Even though the storm is forecast to have moved through the region by early Sunday, PEI race teams may not be able to leave the Island with potential bridge closures and ferry cancellations. As well, EMT’s who would work the event are on call for public safety.
Management for Riverside International Speedway and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour would like to thank fans for their understanding and patience during this unpredictable time. Additionally, management urge caution as Dorian moves through the region. Please monitor local authorities and heed their directions.
The schedule for Sept. 14 at Riverside will mirror that which was planned for Sept. 7. The pit gate will open at 10;00 a.m., the grandstand gate and box office at Noon, racing will start at 4 p.m.
The show will feature the Lucas Oil 150 – round 11 or 12 for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour, as well as the Henry’s AUTOPRO 75 for the Napa Sportsman Series and the Passione Flooring East Coast Mini Stock Tour 50 – both championship-deciding races. A fireworks display will end the evening and the at-track celebration of Riverside’s 50th-anniversary season.
The Back to School special offer for Sept. 7 will apply Sept. 14 so everyone 18 and under will enjoy free grandstand general admission. Advance tickets purchased for Sept. 7 will be honoured Sept. 14. Tickets for Sept. 14 will be available online until Sept. 12 and at the gate on race day, starting at Noon.
As a result of the move to Sept. 14 for the Lucas Oil 150, the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour championship event scheduled for Scotia Speedworld on that day will be moved; the date is TBA. More details at www.maritimeprostocktour.com and www.scotiaspeedworld.ca.
