JAMES RIVER, NS (July 15, 2021) – With the move to Phase 4 of the Nova Scotia Reopening Plan on Wednesday, Riverside International Speedway will open for its first event of 2021 on July 24. The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour, NAPA Sportsman Series, and Hot Rod Classics Vintage Race Car Series will be on the race card.
The pro stock tour competitors will see qualifying heat races and the Parts for Trucks 150 feature, sportsman will have qualifying heat races and a 75-lap feature and the vintage series will see heat races and a 25-lap feature. Racing starts at 4 p.m.; grandstands open at 2 p.m.
In accordance with the approved COVID-19 Operating Plan for Riverside and current Public Health requirements the grandstand will have multiple zones each with a maximum capacity of 250 people; each zone will have its own entry/exit and washrooms and fans must stay in the zone they are ticketed for. Masks are required except for when seated with a personal group. Distancing (2M/6F) is required between groups and while entering/exiting the facility.
The canteen will be open for food and non-alcoholic beverages, with delivery to the seats. Maximum cooler/bag size for carry-in food and non-alcoholic beverages is 14″ x14″ x 14″; no glass beverage containers; containers caps must be sealed at entry; if the container has a removable lid the container must be empty at entry.
Tickets will be available online only starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 16 at www.riversidespeedway.ca. Fans should review the zone plan prior to purchasing tickets and be aware that accessible seating is located in the Blue zone ONLY, and that smoking is ONLY permitted in the Purple zone.
Adult tickets are $30.00; 15 & under are $10.00 each (HST included).
In accordance with the zone model for this event, the infield pit area is restricted to essential crew members and essential workers only. Teams will receive advance pit pass purchase information directly.
