The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will make its third and final visit of the season to Riverside International Speedway this Saturday for the Lucas Oil 100. The high banks of the 1/3 mile oval will play host to race 11 of 12 for the high-octane touring series. The event will also mark the third and final Lucas Oil presented race of the season.  With local heroes and championship contenders all expected in the field on Saturday, action in the Lucas Oil 100 is sure to be intense. Please note time changes for this eventAtlantic Tiltload Time Trials will get underway at 3:30 PM with racing slated for 4:30 PM.

With only two races remaining on the 2013 schedule the chase for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Championship is quickly coming to a close.  Three-time series champ John Flemming (Halifax, NS) holds a 74 point lead over fellow three-time series champion Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB). Tucker is the most recent winner on the series but with only two races remaining and a maximum of a 60 point gain per race time is running out to catch Flemming. Tucker will keep his eyes set on maintaining his second place position over current series champion Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) who trails by less than 20 points. Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) and Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) round out the top five in the championship standings.

The Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year battle could be decided this weekend. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) heads to Riverside with a 40 point advantage over Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS). If Butcher wants a shot at the prestigious title he will have to make a big move on Saturday. Butcher will also have to keep in front of Denver Foran (Edmonton, AB) who sits 40 points behind him. These rookies have proven all season that they can race; the Lucas Oil 100 may just decide who takes home the very cool Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year trophy.

The Napa Sportsman Series will kick off the show with their season finale 75 lap feature prior to the Lucas Oil 100.
