Management for Riverside International Speedway and the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour are postponing the event scheduled for Riverside on Saturday due to the storm forecast to move in over the region on Friday night lasting through late Saturday/early Sunday. A decision will be made by mid-day Saturday as to whether the rain date will be Sunday, or not.
The current forecast shows heavy rain lasting into the wee hours of Sunday morning and more precipitation moving in mid to late afternoon on Sunday; whether Sunday is doable, or not, will depend on several things including how those factors will affect when the facility will be dry enough to use and how big the window is to get the show in before the rain starts again – all things that will be more apparent by mid-day Saturday.
The Back to School Spectacular is scheduled to include the Scotia Diesel 155 for the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour, the Nickerson Auto Salvage 55 for the Dulux Paint MASS Street Stock, and the Whispering Winds Campground MASS Mini Stock 55.
Advance tickets purchased for Saturday will be valid for the make-up date.
