HALIFAX, NS (July 18, 2013) – 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski was at the IWK Health Care Centre in Halifax Thursday to visit with patients and their families. Those in attendance were invited to sign the No. 13k Cat Car for Kids that Keselowski will drive in Saturday’s IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis Auto Body at Riverside International Speedway.
The IWK 250 Super Weekend gets underway tonight (Friday July 19) with the Highland Home Building Centre 100 for the Napa Sportsman Series and the Maritime Legends Challenge for the Maritime League of Legends. Racing starts Friday at 7 p.m. On Saturday two rounds of qualifying will set the field for the IWK 250; time trials start at 3:30 and heat races are at 4:30. An on-track autograph session starts at 5:30 p.m. followed by opening ceremonies and the IWK 250.
Plenty of good seats remain for both Friday and Saturday. Call 902.863.2410 until 2 p.m. Friday; after 4 p.m. Friday tickets will be available in person only at the track box office – all tickets sold at the track are general admission only – reserved seating sales end at 2 p.m. Friday.
With a record crowd anticipated on Saturday fans are urged to come early to help avoid lineups; extra parking has been acquired off-site with a shutlle in palce to help transport to the main gate. The grandstand area opens at Noon Saturday with IWK 250 practice starting at the same time.
