Officials have announced the format for this Friday’s Fast Four Invitational race for four-cylinder stock cars.
The field will be divided into three heat races by random draw. Each heat race will be 10 laps and the finishing order will determine starting spots in the feature which will be 50 laps, or 45 minutes, whichever comes first.
Cars entered will conform to their home track rules with one exception (for Scotia Speedworld cars): Cars that run Legends tires will be required to add an additional 50 pounds of weight. All other cars are required to run regular tires.
Each entry will be paid $100 plus trophies for the three finishers. Questions on the four-cylinder race should be directed to mclean@riversidespeedway.ca.
Tuesday (August 16) is the last day to enter the Fast Four Invitational; entry forms and a list of more than 25 drivers who have already entered can be found on the August 19 event page.
The Fast Four Invitational will be the undercard on Friday for the Highland Home Building Centres 100 for the NAPA Sportsman Series. On Saturday, it’s the Bumper to Bumper 300 for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series along with the Farrell Excavating 50 for the Upper Clements Park Maritime League of Legends.
Racing starts at 7 p.m. Friday. Saturday’s schedule sees Legends heat races at 2:35 p.m. followed by NASCAR qualifying, the Legends feature, a NASCAR autograph session, opening ceremonies and the Bumper to Bumper 300 (green flag at 8 p.m.).
Tickets are available online or by calling 902-863-2410. Fans can purchase single day tickets or a weekend pass. Reserved seats are available for Saturday’s show, but only in advance. The Box Office at the track opens Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at Noon.
