Time slots are from Noon to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., or Noon to 6 p.m. Weekdays are preferable; evenings and weekend days are tougher to coordinate but will be considered if requested; a $100.00 surcharge applies to off-hour rentals.
Everyone entering the pit area at Riverside is required to complete a current-year electronic eWaiver. More on this process here. NO WAIVER / NO ENTRY / NO EXCEPTIONS
The pit/infield area at Riverside International Speedway is generally restricted to those 19 years and older. Minors (18 and under) may be allowed access to the infield area provided a Minor Access to Pit application and supporting documents are submitted to RIS at least one week before desired entry.
Anyone not driving or working on the race cars should not be in the pit area.
Rental fees are non-refundable; if the weather is an issue the session will be rescheduled. If you need to reschedule for any reason other than the weather, you must do so at least 48 hours before the start time. “No-Shows” will not be rescheduled (or refunded).
The race car and driver must be registered to compete with a sanctioning body that races at RIS; the race car must be approved for competition by the sanctioning body.
All race cars must be equipped with, and the drivers must wear, all safety and other equipment per rules governing their division/sanction with the following exceptions: full-face helmets (Snell SA2015 or newer) and head and neck restraint (SFI spec) are mandatory at RIS – certification stickers and/or labels must be visible.
A maximum of four registered teams can share the rental with only one car on the track at a time. Cars participating in the rental cannot be swapped during the rental period, i.e. the four cars at the track must be the same cars that were indicated on the Track Rental Request forms.
Rental Fees do not include fire/medic personnel or vehicles, wreckers, insurance, or any track staff or equipment. These services are available through the track at an additional fee.
If weather threatens your ability to use the track, to avoid a cancellation penalty, you should confirm the weather at the track before deciding not to attend.
A minimum of two people are required for each rental and you must have a cellular phone while on-site. Should you need emergency assistance call 911 first, then contact the on-site RIS worker to report the incident.
You rent the track AT YOUR OWN RISK and you also accept responsibility for any and all persons on-site during your rental. No alcohol or any illegal substance is permitted on-site during the rental. No person who is impaired by any substance is permitted on-site during a practice session.
You are required to clean up any fluid spillages and are responsible for any facility damage that may happen during your rental. You must advise the attendant on-site when you are leaving.
These sessions are only to practice a race car for one of our events. If you are considering a track rental for any other reason you must make that request with full disclosure of the purpose, the expected number of attendees, etc., in writing to info@riversidespeedway.ca – practice session rental rates do not apply for any other purpose.
Failure to comply with the Riverside International Speedway Team Track Rental Policy & Procedures outlined here and on the team track rental reservation form may result in eviction from the premises and forfeiture of future rental and/or racing privileges.
