Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) picked up his 10th career Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour victory at the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150 at Riverside International Speedway in front of a capacity crowd on a warm Sunday afternoon. Blenkhorn was the defending winner of the race so makes it two Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick 150 victories in a row. Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) raced to a second place finish followed by defending series champion Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS). Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) and Josh Collins (Placentia, NL) rounded out the top five.
Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races saw wins by Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE), Collins and Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS). Chisholm, who was vying for his third consecutive Riverside victory, suffered mechanical issues on lap 10 forcing the No. 89 team to pit and go down 20 plus laps and their mechanical issues continued for the remainder of the race.
Blenkhorn picked up the Linde Most Laps Led Award after leading 83 of the laps in the feature. Collins takes home the King Freight Future Winner Award with his first career Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour top five finish. Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) picks up the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race Award after finishing seventh in the main feature.
St. Thomas, Ontario’s Jason Hathaway who was making his first appearance on the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour this season also had mechanical issues forcing the No. 3 team to pit on lap 51 putting the visiting team down numerous laps.

The NAPA Sportsman Series entertained fans for an exciting 75 lap feature with Brad DeCoste (Antigonish, NS) crossing the line for the checkered flag ahead of Joey Rudderham (Sydney, NS) and Shawn Waterfield (Sydney, NS).
The staff at Riverside International Speedway now turn their full attention to preparations for the 2017 edition of the IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis in which NASCAR Hall of Famer Mark Martin will o take on the best short track racers from this region, and beyond.
