The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will make its third and final visit of the season to Riverside International Speedway this Saturday for the Lucas Oil 150. The high banked oval of Riverside will play host to race 11 of 12 for the popular touring series. The event will also mark the third and final Lucas Oil presented race of the season.  With local heroes and championship contenders all expected in the field on Saturday, action in the Lucas Oil 150 is sure to be intense. Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials get underway at 4:10 p.m., with racing slated for 5:00 p.m.

With only two races remaining on the 2015 schedule the chase for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour championship is extremely close.  Local driver Donald Chisholm (Antigonish) enters the Lucas Oil 150 on top of the standings. Exide Batteries 2014 Rookie of the Year Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro) sits second just four points behind Chisholm. Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) looks to become the first ever Tour champion from Prince Edward Island as he enters the weekend in third position just nine points behind the leader. Two-time winner this season Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake) hopes to improve his fourth place position in the standings at the Lucas Oil 150, Butcher is still well within contention just 13 points back of Chisholm. With two races remaining and a maximum of a 60 point gain per race, the championship chase is far from over. If any of these four drivers wins the championship it will be their first pro stock touring series title.

The Napa Sportsman Series will kick off the show with the Highland Home Building Centers 75 lap feature prior to the Lucas Oil 150. As with the pro stocks, this is the second-last race of the season for the sportsman series. And, like the pro stocks, the title chase is tight. In the sportsman series it’s Sydney’s Kyle Reid leading Main-A-Dieu’s Darren Price by just two markers in the series standings. Sydney’s Shawn Waterfield trails Price by 31 markers in third, and Joey Rudderham, from Marion Bridge, is fourth – just 18 behind Waterfield. Just as in the pro stock tour, winning the title would be a first for each of the top four sportsman contenders.

Fans are reminded this event will see a 5 p.m. race-time. Track management made the start one-hour earlier than usual to accommodate a one-week later slot in the schedule, the combined 225 laps of feature racing, cooler evenings, and an earlier dusk. Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials (pro stock) start at 4:10 p.m. Grandstand gates open at 1 p.m.

Advance reserved and general admission tickets are available at the Riverside Box Office, phone 1.902.863.2410 or here. Tickets will be available at the gate on race day, starting at 1 p.m.
