The NASCAR Pinty’s Series Bumper to Bumper 300 at Riverside International Speedway has been postponed by rain until Sunday starting with a NASCAR Autograph Session at 11 a.m., followed by Opening Ceremonies at 12:30 p.m. and the green flag at 1 p.m.  Weather moved in over the high-banked oval mid-afternoon with intermittent showers until steady rain started just after 5 p.m., forcing the delay.

Qualifying for the Bumper to Bumper 300 was scheduled to start just as the first shower passed over the track so the session was canceled and the starting lineup set according to the NASCAR Pinty’s Series rule book, reverting to practice speeds. As a result, DJ Kennington will start the Bumper to Bumper 300 from P1 followed by Kevin Lacroix. Alex Labbe will lineup third followed by Donald Chisholm and Cayden Lapcevich.

The Farrell’s Excavating 50 for the Maritime League of Legends has been completed with Shubenacadie’s Braden Langille taking the checkers. Newfoundland’s Waylon Farrell was second and Adam Meehan, from Rawdon Gold Mines, was third. Meehan and Shane Lively won the Legends heat races.

The grandstand gates and box office will open at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Unused tickets for today (Saturday, August 19) will be honoured at the gate on Sunday.

There is plenty of free RV parking for this event (no reservations and no services) along with free spectator parking. This and more event information can be found at www.RiversideSpeedway.ca.
